Short Version: Built subrace Primal. ;D Went to Plastic Surgeon. Changed into Ferret. ;D Got Animal-speak widget. Logged off. Logged on. ;D Got another widget. Logged off and on two more times to check. Got two more widgets. That sucks. And I can't drop the ones I have.

That's okay, Logged in as Ana and was given two binary language widgets. What's up with that?

Hmmm.... I haven't actually looked at it since V added the widgets... I'll have to double-check his work...

*shuffle feet*
I'll fix it... I forgot to add a clause to REMOVE the widgets when it removes your subrace skin. Sorry.

Did you base the widget script on whether they have the hide, or what's typed in the "subrace" box? Does the subrace change with appearances now? Anyway, I personally can't even open the toolset right now (and probably not for the next 40 Vista patches/updates), so if you can get to this quickly, I'll be eternally grateful.

Perhaps the ideal thing would be to add a token distiribution method on talking with the immigration official the first time (or when you talk to the char fixer in the dm lounge for older characters) rather then giving the widgets every login.
That way people can keep their hotkeys hotkeyed? (and learned/gained/earned widgets through rp won't dissapear)

My vote (i.e., what we'd be doing if my computer currently worked), would be for the character fixer computer.

Perhaps an institution of higher learning? She can speak Common, Elven, Grunthian, and Animal fluently, but has a REAL tough time with Fairy and Marae. A limit of two additional languages per person wouldn't be extreme.

I know some servers allow you to have one extra widget per INT stat bonus.

Well if marae are anything like the Ilithids, then they would communicate via telepathy, or by sharing when they are in their ooze state. Since Marae are primarily aquatic by origin, they should have animal as their base language.
I would think anything tech-based in relation to languages should be accessible via a data chip. Do not think a Maroid would have access to binary or machine language. Languages would be innate, but I would understand cyborgs, robots, androids and holograms would have access binary. Robots and cyborgs, access to also machine language.
A Marae could speak with a primal as the language would be simple syllable words. Would sound totally alien to an animal, but perhaps not another aquatic creature. Think mollusks or cephalopods in comparison to a dolphin or trout.
There are other languages that should be specific to origin and not necessarily DnD or NWN due to the custom content of Itropa.
Ana as an example, is in origin a Minoi, but being a biosynergenic as are most of her people for having evolved within a closed environment over the last 10,000 years, she is no more Minoi as a Marae would be an amoeba.
Some of the things that need to be thought about with the language widgets in mind.

each time you log in you are given an undroppable language widget, its good if you want to keep track of how many times you log in with your character, the bad thing, they will eventually fill up your inventory.

I found that the latest msn messenger plug-ins, directX and wmp, caused nwmain.exe to be moved. it had been removed or moved had re-install my copy of nwn
works fine now. Matt, you may want to consider that being the reason, that somehow, your toolset was corrupted by a plug-in or update
you may be missing a file or driver
