Just one thing...
I've been looking for a set of AC7 armour (it's for a specific look I want) however there is one suit of armour that's that class, and that suit of armour is Ok for low levels but dire for higher levels.
And Please don't tuck it away in the UKB stores like you did those crossbows I asked for, as none of my builds are supper chessey magic users from hell, and seeing as they're simple fighter style classes they can't touch the UKB's, and are relagated to standing around cheering the magic users on from the sidelines on any UKB hunt.

Can we possibly get some nice shortbows or composite shortbows?
Seems that all the really nice bows actually worth purchasing are for characters that are not limited by small stature. All are longbows or composite longbows.
Please, better shortbows.

Have you looked in Valos Basic Store? Short Bows there aren't too shabby.

I wouldn't normally encourage this, but you could possibly make a fairy character and transfer equipment/money back and forth. Some fairy equipment can't be used by non-fairies, but I think bows still work.

You can always go with a buddy to grab boss hides/hearts, or borrow a friends...

True, how do you think I know those crossbows are there? however we had this problem not so long ago when UKB hunting. Everyone on the server was involved (granted about 5-7 people). and only one guy could actualy hurt the UKB the others jsut stood around watching and talking. Eventualy we wandered off, and tried the LQ.. but lo and behold my Lvl33 guy couldn't even touch the LQ even using a hackmaster, until Mr Uber magic user showed up and dropped it in two turns...

I guess could always make the bosses implosion proof, and have magic resistance 15/-.
That'd about even things out... (If there was way to give sr higher then 32 via the toolse easilly, it'd be a different story, I imagine)
Hmm.

Now there is an interesting point about boss hides/hearts.
There are short swords, daggers, long swords, bastard swords, staffs , morning star, club and a whip.
What about bows?
Armor, belts, helmets, boots and shields.
What about cloaks and robes?
What about jewellery or general items?

But I'm not fully versed on all the numbers or ratings in this game (hence why I build crappy PC's). So it was totaly wasted on me. I normaly try running up and smacking it one, if that doesn't work I try running away.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply remove the bosses altogether? I mean, if you want them totally unbeatable and to be instant death dealers, just replace them with traps that dish out 1000 pts damage.

Was actually a semi-humorous statement.
It is hard to find a balance between too easy and too tough.
Magic users tend to get the better end of things, true.
Suggestions for a fix?

Anyone have a copy of the original experience award of DnD 2nd edition?
In there the chart actually takes into consideration HD of creature, special abilities. It would be probably be of good use to determine the appropriate lvl to make a boss.
When a boss only throws at you one hellball after another or a volley of hellballs, personally find such a boss not worth my effort as it becomes totally cheese. Not even a player can throw six hellballs all at once. reality check.

a lower AC on the UKB's so us basic fighters can actualy hit the buggers would go a long way to solving hte problem. Remember anyone who isn't a weapon master will be having a BAB of 40-45 thats with Weapon bonus. Then we can feel like we're doing something.
I remember once against the Soulmaster. two of us where doing minion control out of the party of 5. Two of us where going toe to toe with it. Their few hits where negating it's regen alowing #5 to run in and out with Isacs Greater Missile storm.
