I've been playing a little under 3 weeks now, and I have seen some nice monk gear, but nothing in comparison to say, terminator armor, or the likes, is there better armor than the +4ac +4 str suit that Botco sells? And yes, the electro mega gloves, and infinity gloves are pretty keen, but are there better than that out there? If so can you tell me how much better on par with these items I've mentioned. If I could figure out why my toolset makes my comp freeze, I would definately make some custom armors to submit, but unfortunately I cannot at the moment.

<<Non-Sequiter>> Actually, given the header for this thread, I'm surprised nobody's pointed out the obvious thing we all really NEED - Therapy... <<Normal service resumes>>

Best monk armor: Red Super-guy suit, Prototype Helion Robes (ladies only), Lizard Queen Armor, Dextrity Enhancing Clothes +5, and more are ideal. The Über monk gloves were recently nerfed. You missed those, unfortunately. If need be I'll design another set of upper echelon gear... For everyone feeling neglected at the top/middle of the level chain. <<Non-Sequiter>> Actually, given the header for this thread, I'm surprised nobody's pointed out the obvious thing we all really NEED - Therapy... <<Normal service resumes>> Maybe we do. I can't deny it, personally..

One thing that I do feel we're missing is some Really damaging Finesse fighter weapons.
Allot of the larger high level stuff has a large soak, and is immune to crits and sneak attacks, rendering the finesse fighter useless.
The amount of times I've hit things with a Masterwork Rapier only to see "Weapon ineffective" come up is huge, and that means I have to leg it.

get aeonite and buy rapiers from, in this order: Swordsman's guild, then the cave merchant on Isla Morpha. When you can afford it, buy the snorfberry rapier from the snorfnose store in rarities. (Man that sounds funny.) They cost about a million, and both of my characters have two of them.

yeah and I now have one. But I wouldn't even have that if I hadn't got hold of a power assisted rig which enabled me to weild STH bassed weapons.
Why? cause the sword I was using couldn't scratch the bigger blighters...

Snorfberry slicer is the premier rapier.

Why? cause the sword I was using couldn't scratch the bigger blighters... Do you mean STR based weapons? And are you saying the "rig" let you use something like a longsword or greatsword that is not compatible with the finesse feat? Don't worry, I won't tell the Queen what you're doing to her English.

The Rig gave me enough STH bonuses to use non-finesse weapons effectively, and therefore enabling me to get out there and give the big baddies a swift kick in the happy sacks.
So every finesse fighter will have a snorfberry slicer, until there's thousands being carried. Where’s the fun in that? We’ve already had 5 of those swords carried by three character’s, because there’s no alternative.
Also there's less mid range finesse weapons, I've been using a Masterwork for some time now, and recently (the last 5 levels or so) I've been felling Very undergunned considering what I'm bumping into

And I meant STH, not my fault many of the other games use the abbreviation STH instead of STR.

OK, I get it now, I was confused and thinking that maybe you though a rapier was a STH/STR weapon.
I agree, some mid range rapiers would be nice. With Farsight, I used the Pirate Queen's rapier for a long time until I finally found some aeonite and just happened to go back to the Swordsman's guild and noticed that they have an aeonite store.
Personally, I think the mod has too many creatures with damage resistance. It means you need spells or forces you to get weapons with +5 bonus (or greater in some cases). I prefer settings where a +3 item is considered powerful.
