<< When I were a lad... >> Heh, could be worse - I used to play on a functionally non-magic setting PW a while back, where a light heal potion was worth its weight in electrum, and magic gear was pretty-much non-existent, barring ripping it out of the cold, dead hands of some _serious_ monsterness. Trust me, after you've wailed on a dozen hyenas and their masters with a non-magical sword, you'll be glad to be _just_ facing DRs.
And before you ask, we survived by using healing kits. 'Remember, kittens, it's not a real battlefield unless you have to sew your hide back together like a patchwork quilt' is a quote from that world. << ...We would've been _glad_ of a cardboard box! We had to live in a lake!! But you try telling that to kids nowadays... >>

What else do we need?
I know: Weapons and gloves that do no damage, alowing RP'ing charchters to have a punch up without all the negitive effects such as getting your ass whupped by a higher level.
We had that problem today, didn't we Sparky?

The Über monk gloves were recently nerfed. You missed those, unfortunately. Which gloves were those? the Cyborg MegaFist?

So he wants a -10 damage penalty, no damage set of gloves.
Nerfed gloves were snorf-oriented.

Not just Gloves but other weapons. I've found the need for them on two occasions now.
#1: When Sparky was vicitmising a poor defensless lower level, and then had to fight off most of trasa's guardbots.
#2: When two members of the sword master's guild where chatting and Wanted to do a practice bout.
Also Some decent Millatry style rifles and clothing (IE: cammo) would be apreciated. Ideas: Rifle: amoungst other things but a grenade launcher on the bottom! Just give it the ability to use firebomb X times per day, or make it use a "grenade" Item every time you use that function. Slap some other bits on it, like Nigth vision Etc.
Camo gear: A small bonus to sneaking and a bigger bonus to hiding. Also to add the body armour why not include a sliht AC bonus and a high end soak damage?

*Smashes head into desk* I recently added in some items of that exact nature...
Didn't I?
Or was it all, just a dream?

The ghillie suits are all present and correct (Shifty's), there's a hefty grenade in Brute force, and I distinctly remember lusting over a flamethrower, not to mention the ever-broadening selection of rifles. A set of practice foils are available from the swordsman's guild, along with decent fencing-whites, and there's a fair few helmets that come with darksight. So I'd say it was no dream...
...Yeah, I'm a shopoholic, and I window-shop when I can't afford. What of it?

yeah but the flamer isn't a long term weapon, as it costs allot for a limited number of charges.
And every time I show up at the brute squad they tell me where to get off. One of these days someone's going to lob a Nuke in there, along with the cry "Fire in HIS hole!"
Rifle wise, there's only three I've found. The fire giant one (unlimited fire ammo), the enhanced Mighty +2 from Greg's, and the autobolt +2 (unlimited +2 ammo) that's it for high end Rifles (that I've found...).
This is what I was thinking, it would look like: Attack bonus +5, mighty +5, Knockdown and firebomb 3 uses per day.
That should make a passable assault rifle with grenade launcher...
I'm just trying to balance out the difference between those who want ranged combat and the Close combat monsters. Look at some of those very sweet bows you can get from Kora... Hmm, Rifle or bow, rifle or bow... BOW! it just doesn't seem right.

Even if a ranged weapon had (Bonus Feat: Knockdown), you wouldn't be able to use it.
There are 3-5 rocket launchers, available in various places.
I wonder where the railgun I made went. Or if I just imagined making it..?
