If you feel that ANYONE (players and DM's alike) is harrassing you, threatening you, or feel that they are detracting from gaming experience, let them know in no uncertain terms that you don't appreciate what they are doing.
I know taht *I* have said and done things that were hurtful to other players and for that I am truly, deeply sorry.
Sometimes, I get so caught up in the fun of the moment, I fail to realize that I'm just irking the player. I think that goes for just about everyone here. What may be fun for me, is not necessarily fun for the person on the receiving end.
All of the DM's were chosen for their ability to RP, come up with great ideas, and their "coolness under fire." NO DM will punish you for telling her or him to back off.
We do our best to make you guys happy and let you have a good time.
If he/she won't back off, then let another DM know about the problem and the matter will be settled post-haste.
Be civilized, but firm in dealing with anyone that you feel is being a pain-in-the-neck.

*DO NOT* ask me in game anything remotely similar to the following sentence, "Will there be an event today?" I'm getting REAL tired of being asked all the time. If I announce it in the forums, I will make every effort to do the event. Only power outages, comp crashes or VERY serious RL emergencies will keep me from making it happen.
Sometimes, I log in as DM for fun. I just want to observe the players, not necessarily run an event.
