Disclaimer: How strict we should be? What rules should be changed? Do we need any new rules? Important - the outcome of these polls will NOT necessarily result in actual policy changes. I just want to see how players feel about certain rules. And if there's any new rules you think we should implement, or any current rules that deserve scrutiny, feel free to post your own poll.
Roleplay How strictly should roleplay be enforced?

Positive reinforcement has many benefits.

There's nothing like a nice fresh RP cookie to make you feel that you've accomplished something XP, special DM-awarded-only things or ordinary items suitable for the character, it's always nice to know that someone appreciates the work you're putting into making their world come alive instead of just running around killing things and watching the level meter climb...as long as it's kept fair and not unbalancing to the rest, since not everyone is going to have the same number of chances to be seen RP'ing by a DM or a DM-character. Some people are going to end up partying regularly with DM-characters and others aren't, some are going to be observed by DM's when they're in DM-mode and others will give the best performance of their life when there isn't one on to see it. Rewards are one way of encouraging people to stay IC, but there's no point in penalizing someone for not doing so, if everyone else stays IC, eventually they'll join in out of necessity, especially if they see other people getting rewards and they don't...but the spectre of perceived favouritism has to be avoided at all costs, the DM's have to police themselves and they have to do it religiously, or there can be problems, again, I've seen it..both as a player and as a DM.

Yeah.. I've RPd lots.. never seen any of the "brownie points" I've been told we get for RP.. (is in the rule stuff I think.. but I know I've seen/heard it somewhere.) I voted other.. 1) Reward the good. 2) Punish the wicked. Nuff said

I'm happy as it is, the whole busking thing at the Trasa teleporter has earned me quite a bit, including EXP when Lord Surge caught me at it.
thanks boss!

I hate to admit it, but one of the proudest moments of my life was when I got a DM token for roleplay on the Silver Marches.
(isn't that sad?)

Not sad in the least - I have fond memories of a char who, having had a long and involved discussion on the nature of duty, bravery, and honour with a cleric, was given her old adventuring sword (the heady heights of a +1 longsword, on a barely-any-magic-items PW) - and co-incidentally started her thinking about things which, in about half-a-dozen levels, led to her taking holy orders and becoming a champion. Funny how these things pan out, isn't it?

Tokens... I'd almost forgotten about them.
Exemplary rp observed will merit them. They don't do anything atm, save take up a space in one's inventory, but I think there's a purpose to them somewhere. Aside from the 'rp badge of honor' effect.

Anybody want to come up with some ideas for what tokens could be used for? How many tokens are worth your own house, or having a item named after yourself, or allowing you to play a unique subrace, etc...

Probably a case-by-case basis.
And remember, asking for tokens is a bad idea.
Just rp well, and if a dm notices (or you post a story of some good rp that happened on the boards) Perhaps a token will come your way.
Housing, Custom Items, Unique subraces: All these are good motivators to inspire players to role-play. The best way to get rewards for rping is consistent rp, it should get noticed eventually.

How about 5 tokens for a +10 something or other? +2 equipment for 1 token.
