Other the last few days We've had a pair of almost identical crashes.
however I've been doing exactly the same thing, both times. Now It may be breaking hte server, or it might be something else.
I was Editing my Armour on the craft menu. then the game locks up, you can still scroll around it's just that you can't do anything else.
I know before the one today there was a Huge Lag problem for a period. However I can't remember if the lag happened the other day as well.

Third crash tonight ,excatly the same as above, only with out the lag.

Suggestion: Try crafting a different set of clothes.
Who were you crafting with? What clothes? What part?
This information could be helpful..

Crafting with:
A multi-tool +10 and using the crafting menu.
What clothes:
Virtium Vest +4, brought from the CBI store, not the one from the Gun nut store.
What Part:
1st time: Can't remember.
2nd time: Upper left arm.
3rd time: Lower left arm.

Further info.
I've just loaded up the charchter again. And I now have a spare set of armour, which was crafted to the look I wanted.
However, it Has no resale value (Valos Merchant will buy it for 0GP).
Also when attepmting to craft the armour again the crafting menu says that the armour is not there, however in combat It works as normal, and I can un equip it as normal.

I've sen the 'broken item' things before. it is a glitch somewhere in the DB that the game keeps specifically for your character (inventory, character sheet, etc). I've only seen this happen once before, and it was on a different server that (i think) crashed right as i was using the NWN crafting, in that second or so lag that the game goes through as it destroys your initial item, and recreates it with the next appearance. Essentially, the game *knows* you should have it, but it *thinks* that it was either sold off or destroyed (in any event, it does not recognise that you have it in your inventory anymore, at least as far as selling and stuff)

heh, tell me about it. Those items where corupting my charchter, and causeing weridness.
So I had to dump both sets of armour in the reycling bin... 400K down the drain **sob**.
I then had to flog my custom prismatic helm to enable me to aford another suit of armour.
However on the plus side I think I discovered a possible reason for the problem. I did some more crafting to this suit of armour, and it worked fine. I think becuase I spent so long crafting the first set, and scrolling through the different options somewhere in in cyber space my conection was suspended due to lack of use.
I only crafted a couple of parts of the armour before making the changes. It seemed to work ok.
