R'uubine was born and raised in the city of Alta. Her father and mother sat the Queen's Court and dragged little R'uubine to all of the palace functions. Young R'uubine was bored almost constantly with the grandness of it all. She never wanted for anything.
"Daddy, can I have a chetal?" The next day, one appeared.
"Mommy, can I have a Gregory Dumas original dress?" The next day, one appeared.
"Daddy, can I have my own bungalow for slumber parties?" One was built.
Eventually, she grew tired of having everything handed to her on a silver platter.
During the Mad Horde invasions, Roo discovered her talent with a bow and ventured to Kora City to seek training. She met an old bear (Smoochy "Only you can prevent deforestation" The Bear) who taught her to speak in the animal tongue. He also showed her how survive in the harshest of climes, track wandering cubs, and how dangerous fire was to the forest.
As she grew, she learned more woodcraft on her own, such as how to camouflage herself and not be seen for days at a time. Even the forest creatures sometimes don't notice her presence.
One day, as she was wandering the Koramil forest, she heard a great commotion and crept up to see what was happening. Inner Eye bandits had attacked a small convoy bound for the city and the convoy guards were in dire straits. They had run out of ammuniton and were reduced to swords, daggers, and even sticks. Arrows appeared, as if from no where, in the backs of the Inner Eye bandits. The last turned just in time to catch a close glimpse of the tip of the arrow that killed him.
Roo never showed herself through the ordeal, but a passing squirrel, high in the trees noticed her and ran to tell the Fairy Queen what had happened.
Roo followed the caravan the rest of the way to the city and was immediately spotted by the city guards. They informed her that the Fairy Queen wished to see her and escorted her to the Fairy Tree.
The Queen was greatly impressed by the squirrel's tale of the Elven outsider, bestowing on Roo the office of Forest Warden. Roo is by no means the only Forest Warden (Koramil forest is a big place), nor is she the best. She *IS*, however, the most devoted to her job, going as far as Trasa and Caeorovia to warn people not to bring fire into "her" forests.
On a windless day, when all is still, you might catch a slight movement of leaves on plants, or feel the hair on the back of your neck stand up. When you awake from a night in the forest, you might find a small bag of credits, a ring, a sword, or any myriad of things to aid you in your journey.
Know that you are safe from harm, for you are being watched....
