I have no life.
I have over 50 of them.
I've played on the Itropa server for two years now (yep, my anniversary is this month) and have built up quite a crew of player characters.
Over the past year, more and more people ask me how many chars I have. Here is the definitive list of player and DM chars. There are more in my folder, but they have been omitted from this list because they are test chars which you will never see after their initial appearance. In hindsight, I should never have asked to have any deleted (about 15, I think).
Each one has unique personality, complete with quirks and foibles. This one hates cookies; that one doesn't like Snorfs; the other one runs into walls, etc. I like diversity. I also like incongruity: the smallest character is a barbarian, the biggest character is an intellectual, etc.
If you play on the Itropan server for a while, you will run into one of these characters. I guarantee it.
I had to list them alphabetically because it's almost impossible to list them in order of “my favorites.”
Besides, PC's have feelings, too, y'know.
Some of the descriptions were taken from the in-game character bio; others were taken directly out of the forums; some characters had no description at all, so I had to wing it and make one up on the spot. Some are creations of my twisted sense of humor (Sham'A'Lam'A D'Ing'D'Ong springs instantly to mind), others are direct ripoffs off TV, movie, or video game characters (Diana Skelly, Veronica Leighton and Tam Fisher chief among them).
I'm fairly certain that more will crop up as I get inspired.
I hope you enjoy reading about them as much as I enjoy playing them.

----------------------------------------------
1. Admiral Gene Ric (generic)
Dedicated to the Evil Overlord Xod and the Legion of Terror, he is not the first admiral on Xod's payroll, nor is he the last. For some reason, Xod keeps wiping out the admirals who displease him
(Xod has been given specific permission to kill him at any time...think what happened to all those admirals in "Star Wars").
2. Ambassador Le'lyan
Alta's ambassador to Grunthar. She inadvertently insulted the Grag Prime who challenged her to a battle to the death. Her bodyguards hustled her out of Grunthar, pursued by Grunthians. Seeking shelter in cave, the bodyguards bravely fought to the death. Using her emergency transponder to call for help, she waited patiently. As the first CBI recruitment session was underway, the potential agents were dispatched to save her and escort her back to Alta.
She was created specifically for a player-run, DM-assisted event.
3. Anjela
A silver lizard whose parents were killed by a knight errant. Raised by a family of ducks has firmly entrenched in her mind that she IS a duck. She just can't understand why she can't swim...
4. Babette Patson
A former cheerleader from Alta High School, she's still stuck in her high school years.
Her greatest goal in life is to meet and become just like her heroine, Thundergirl.
Not very bright, but her intentions are good.
Her alternate superhero identity is “Babe Girl. Come complete with an MP4 player on her hip which plays her theme music.
5. Badd Gye aka M'Eltrus Thel'Amon
Due to a lab accident, Badd Gye was accidentally cloned. His clone is M'Eltrus who is just as much of a jerk.
Described by his superiors as "the ultimate killing machine," Gye was trained to be a counter-insurgent for the Charta Military.
While on a recon mission to take back the Navoran city of Aurenis, Gye was waylaid by a platoon of over 60 Orcs. He slaughtered them all, sustaining massive head trauma in the process. These injuries damaged the anger control portion of the brain (amygdala of the hypothalamus) causing him to be severely agitated all the time.
He was subsequently sent to the Valos prison's psych ward. He promptly killed the entire staff with his bare hands and escaped. Exiling himself to the farthest reaches of Valos, Gye's emotions soon took over completely.
He is wanted by every law enforcement agency on Charta, as well as the continents of Ynllia and Navora.
Major crimes include: Mass murder, serial murder, bank robbery, attempted genocide, kidnapping, torture, incitement to riot, rioting, assassination of a president, assassination of a potentate, assassination of a governor.
He is a stealth and explosives expert, as well as an accomplished lock pick and computer hacker.
DO NOT APPROACH HIM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. NOTIFY THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES UPON SIGHTING.
6. BFCM Devastator
One of the last models built before the great war by the now-defunct MechTech company.
Years of disuse have affected its targeting abilities.
7. BFCM Renegade
Manufactured by the now-defunct MechTech Industries, this Battle Field Combat Mech was designed to pacify urban disturbances.
While very slow to move, it is incredibly rugged.
Several large groups of rioters have met their fates when trying to fight this machine.
8. BFCM Warrior
Built by the now-defunct MechTech Industries, the Battle Field Combat Mech was designed to withstand a barrage of enemy fire and unleash a furious retaliatory strike.
After the Great War, several BFCM's were decommissioned and left to rust on junk piles around the world..
With the advent of the Matrix, spurious signals were picked up by a few of these decommissioned mechs who then became self-aware.
9. Bodiless Horsewoman
Thunder of hooves. Flash of blade. Death.
Out of the night rides the mysterious Bodiless Horsewoman, striking terror into all she meets.
Well, mostly all.
Okay, a few.
It's a marketing gimmick, actually, used to promote a new amusement park called “Creepy Hollow.” But, she IS pretty good with a sword.
10. Cat Chick
Prowling the darkness, striking without warning, fading into the night, comes (yet another) superheroine.
Her past is mysterious. Her fashion sense is low. Her esteem is high. Her timing is...adequate.
11. Chief Engineer Snotty
Stranded on Charta due to a mix-up with the transportation system on his beloved I.S.S. Enterpoop, Snotty keeps trying to find the "Cap'n." He fixes things...kind of.
He's a total letch and tries to get every woman he meets to visit his “starship.”
Constantly picks his nose.
12. Chrys Moonbeam
Chrysanthemum Moonbeam is a ditz, pure and simple. So ditzy in fact, that she can't remember her full name. Don't expect to have deep, philosophical debates with her.
The Fairy Queen is VERY upset with her for throwing a tantrum after being told she couldn't have dessert and starting a fire because of it.
Like her sisters, she thinks that everything is a game (even when the bad guys point sharp objects at her and demand all her money), and will rush headlong into danger before her tiny brain tells her otherwise.
13. Cookie
Has an I.Q. medically verified as “rock.” Loves animals, doesn't know her own strength, is fairly vulgar, and has the memory retention of dry paint.
14. Crunk Marblehead
An Ogre with "less than average" intelligence but a heart of pure gold. Make a friend of Crunk and have a friend that will follow you through thick and thin. In fact, he probably will just follow you until you tell him to go away.
15. Diana Skelly
Chief of Station-Trasa for the Charta Bureau of Investigation. No nonsense. By the book. Incorruptible. Object of affection of Jourgen Gallyn. Was engaged to Jourgen at one time, but a minor slip of his tongue at the wedding REALLY hacked her off, causing her to storm off the wedding platform and repair to Chela's where she got stinking drunk.
Her former partner (and former Chief of Station-Grunthar), Cox Mulhair, disappeared while chasing Z-File leads in Dimension Y. He hasn't been seen since.
16. Director Althius Bergerdoninski
Director of The Charta Bureau of Investigation. Married to Zelda Jones-Bergerdoninski, reporter for the Trasa Citizen.
Masterminded a plot to capture Reth Munei and turn her over to Grunthian authorities for attempted genocide.
X-rated vids of Director B getting his freak on with Reth are still in circulation.
17. DM (DM character)
For when I just want to watch and not RP.
18. DM Snorfette (DM character)
Just a cute little version of the above.
19. Eeker
A ferret with a penchant for robbing castles.
20. EMPBot
BotCo designed this robot to withstand electromagnetic pulses while at the same time being able to send out it's own different types of EMP energy.
It's nuclear energy pack will enable it to function well into the next millennium.
21. Eye In The Sky (DM character)
Originally an orbital observation platform, the computers and sensor suites were upgraded in order to make it totally unmanned. It circles the planet, senses problems and attempts to correct them from space. It also notifies the proper personnel of impending doom. It has been known to start a panic every now and again.
22. Fahr N. Brimstone
Fahr wanders the land preaching about the coming apocalypse. He is deeply committed to his cause, although he should just be committed.
23. Fire Ember Moonbeam
“Good Evening, Ladies and Gentlemen. My name is Huntand Peck and you are watching Chat/Talk on Chart-Cast televid Channel 1039. My guest tonight is the first male Fairy born in over 40 years. His name is Fire-Ember Moonbeam. Let’s get right to chatting and talking with Mr. Moonbeam.”
“Thanks, Huntand. Just call me Ember.”
“All right, Ember. What did your mom call you? Ha ha ha!”
“She never called me late for dinner, that’s for sure! Seriously, though, we Fairies don’t have actual parents as you would think of them. We are the result of years of genetic evolution.”
“Care to elaborate, Ember?”
“To put it in easy-to-understand language…”
“That would be ‘layman’s terms.’ Ha ha ha!”
“Yes. Our xenobiologists theorize that we came from the mutations of plants around the VivaSoil factory.”
“Fascinating. Now, Ember, I understand that you just completed your doctoral thesis? Has it been published?”
“I have indeed completed my thesis on the effects of radiation on the various species indigenous to the world of Charta.”
“Very interesting. And what’s it called?”
“The Effects of Radiation on the Various Species Indigenous to the World of Charta. Where did you learn to interview people?”
“Ha ha ha! You have a quick wit, there, my friend. What will you do with your degree?”
“ I have just hired on as a First Responder with the Kora City EMT Dept.”
“So, you rescue those that have fallen and can’t get up? Ha ha ha! You’re an EMT yourself, then.”
“Do you know ANYTHING about how the medical profession works?”
“………”
“Okay, you start as a First Responder. You do the light work: on-site healing, basic first aid, and stabilization of the wounded. After a while, if you’re good enough, you get promoted to EMT; actual transport of the patient. After that nurse's assistant. Then, nurse. Finally, you become a doctor.”
“Let’s talk about your sister.”
“Which one? I have 74 of them.”
“I’m referring to your ex-Marine sister, Twinkletoes.”
“Yeah? You say one bad word about Twink and no First Responder in the world can save you, pal…”
“Uh…er…I’ve just been informed that we are out of time for this edition of Chat/Talk. Join us next week when our guest will be…where’s next week’s guest list? Never mind. See you next week.”
“...even the doctor’s are gonna have a hard time finding all your body parts… Where did you find this idiot?”
25. Galathiel
Froodoo, having his failed his quest to return "The Two Ring" to Mount Dorm, Galathiel's rule as Queen of the Elves on the planet Middle Itropa was overthrown by the Guardians of Madrac. She was placed aboard a starship and banished from Middle Itropa.
She has resigned herself to never going back and will not seek vengeance upon those who harmed her. To her, her rule is over and she must start anew, making her way however she must in order to survive.
