I've heard a lot about pathfinder. Some of my friends play it on Wednesdays. Dunno about buying another set of books though. As a Side note, the entire ruleset is available online at the paizo website. The "PRD" pathdinder roleplay document. Also, www.d20pfsrd.com/ is a fan supported version. It includes fan created stuff as well as the open source stuff. Wasagreg wasasayin'

Going to be starting Diablo 3 soon.
Just waiting on a new pc, shouldn't be long now. Maybe I'll give NWN2 a second chance, since seriously all the good NWN servers appear to be gone.
Playing 3.5 D&D on sundays now and Whitewolf WOD (not the newest crap edition) on saturdays.

Going to be starting Diablo 3 soon. Nice! I have never played any of that series. Have a friend that loves them all. For myself, my wish list for that never seems to happen day of a new comp is: Mass Effect series, Dragon Age, and Max Payne 3. And maybe a little star treck online, just to watch ships shoot each other Good luck with that. *grins* Every once in a while I reload NWN2. Always the same problem for me, pretty world, icky engine. AI pathing drives me up the wall. I still have problems with newWoD. However, they grew alot less after reading the novels. My bigger issue now with WhiteWolf is thier gamebook design. If I had spent my VERY hard earned money on a sourcebook...grrrr, not even certain what I would do. I buy novels to read stories, I expect some world building in a sourcebook, not thirty pages of egostroking shortstories with five pages of "here are some suggestions on how to incorporate". Grrr. And really, for the main books. I like a table of contents to appear somewhere in the first three pages. I am old fashioned that way. Don't tuck it twenty pages deep. Sheesh, nWoD still hits some nerves.

Hope that was just rumormongering. But seems likely *sighs*

I've heard a lot about pathfinder. Some of my friends play it on Wednesdays. Dunno about buying another set of books though. Update: The group got fed up with the slow healing in Pathfinder, so we finished that campaign in D&D 4e. Then we tried Traveller for a little while, had some fun, got bored, and ended that campaign early. We are currently playing Savage Worlds. It seems like an interesting system. I think the other players are getting antsy again, though, so we might be trying something else soon. Some of them were discussing Gurps at yesterday's game. On the video game side, my spouse and I are having a wonderful time beating each other up on Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Having tried pathfinder, I'd say: get an alchemist..
I still despise 4th edition as compared to 3 and 3.5, but I just like freedom heh.
Also, I got NWN to work on my windows 7 pc. Shame most servers are ghost towns. .
Been playing the MMO: Neverwinter, it's pretty fun.

Yeah no index, no table of contents, face punch territory.
On a related note, World of Darkness online will be so amazing I am sure.

Our group got together today and planned our next campaign, which will use GURPS. I'm a bit wary - I've never played it and I hear the combat is complicated. But it also looks like a bizarre story, and I do love bizarre. The DM had each player pick a different one of the system's hundreds of settings. He is planning to merge all our choices into one setting. So our campaign wold is going to be a combination of Napoleonic Wars, Steampunk, Dinosaur Hunting, and Martial Arts.

I hear it's roll heavy, but you can do wahtever you want and there are rules for it.
Good luck!
By the way, even though Gamespy is down, you can still host servers, there are new serverlists.

I wish I could host something again. My house just isn't configured for it any more.

What's the issue? Server computers that can handle nwn aren't too intensive. . I have terrible dsl so not enough bandwidth here.

But right now my primary computer is a laptop that would be inconvenient to leave on. Plus, my wife has a work-at-home job that uses lots of bandwidth, and we don't like to leave anything else running that might slow her work down.

I just got an invite from ALFA on NWN2... I may find my discs and try loading it up. I loved planescape...not sure if the sites are still up.. but *shrugs* Playing 5e now. Campaign started with a major hiccup so we are in process of moving it over to roll20 and doing it online. I've been fighting a series of kidney stones the past two weeks so not really doing anything at the moment. Gotta say, I had my most fun on this server. Feeling sick so being a lil' melancholy
