Dear Mr Dorsten,
I would be happy to make a donation to help you get back on your feet. As someone who has been fortunate enough to be rather well off, I am in a position where I can help you rebuild your lost home. Thank you for your support.

Ricky "Scoop" Dorsten : Reporter for the Trasa Citizen
Well, today was a day to remember. Earlier, a solemn service was held for my lost friend, Snark. I was touched by the euology. Unfortunately I could not attend as I was still distraught over my loss.
However, I held my chin up high and decided to tough it out. And there is no better way to tough things out than to hang out with the fine men and women of the CBI. I went to one of their recruitment sessions, led by Senior Drill Instructor Sergeant Hacker. His company was most pleasant as he went over the recruitment basics with new recruit Ajax Xylander, dwarven veteran and self-made son of landed immigrants. A fine gentleman he was.
The test seemed simple at first. Run to Alta. Something even this reporter can handle on a good afternoon. But this was no ordinary run. Everything seemed normal, until we were almost mugged by Inner Eye thugs. The brave actions of Sergeant Hacker and Ajax Xylander quickly dipatched them. I thought that was excitement. I was in for an awakening.
When we hit the forest of Koramil, that's with the poop hit the proverbial fan. I was aghast as we were confronted by an alien! Along with giant robot henchmen! Even the heroics of Sergeant Hacker didn't seem to be enough to stop them, and I thought we were done for, until some kindly forest fairies stepped in and gave us a hand. These fine citizens gave us the second wind we needed, and Sergeant Hacker and Mr Xylander were able to dispatch them. They seemed to be led by a strange floating creature that looked like a disembodied head with eyes. I almost lost it and found myself swinging my microphone wildly. Sergeant Hacker and Mr Xylander must have come to my aid, as I found myself on the way to Alta.
Again we were beset with foes. This time, they were most certainly aliens. They had a femalien accomplice appeared and disappeared at random intervals. Again, a valiant struggle occured, and the sweat and tears of heroes prevailed. Afterwards, we had found a bystander who had identified herself as Jane Willowbrook of Alta. If anyone knows who she is or how I can contact her, please contact me at the Trasa Citizen.
After escorting her to Alta, we proceed to Valos. We encountered many wild creatures, and then encounted a mysterious woman identifying herself only as Arilou. She may be an alien taking disguise. After she disappeared, we were beset by the femalien and her robot guards, which were dispatched by Sergeant Hacker and Mr Xylander.
We reached Valos and were about to search a local bawdy house for clues when the report came of an attack in Trasa. Heading there, I was attacked by a thug named Xod. There was a woman in cohoots with him, but I succumbed to their assault before I can identify him. He seemed to be in league with the aliens, and the head of a group called the Legion of Doom.
I am not sure, but I think that this Xod may be the small time hood Irwin Xodesky. For those of you who read the Trasa Citizen, Xodesky was a hood turned snitch when he was booted from the Inner Eye for failing to shake down an ailing old grandmother.
Needless to say, this "Xod", whomever he is, was much more dangerous, and was able to overcome through guile and trickery, the brave efforts of Sergeant Hacker and the newly christened Agent Xylander.
Xod and his minion then fled, presumably to Alta. And it was there that the trail went cold. However, Agents Veronica Leighton and Jourgen Gallyn arrived on the scene to aid in the investigation. As well, a couple of concerned citizens, one Ana Dalfini and a construct named Two of Three were onhand to help out the CBI.
Needless to say, the actions of our hardworking heroes in the CBI cannot be more plain. To the detractors and terrorists of the PFA, I say to you "If you are for the people, then where were you?" Are you really for the people? And why did you blow up my house?
Perhaps this PFA is a political front for the Legion of Doom? Only the vigilance of the CBI will find out. I for one have faith in them.

All over Charta maybe

by Ricky "Scoop" Dorsten -------------------------------
Earlier today, CBI agents Yoshira and Xylander apprehended one Admiral Gene Ric, a disabled question who claimed to be in the employ of the fugitive known as Xod. It is not known for certain if this "Admiral" is really a minion, or simply a handicapped vagrant trying to use the Legion of Terror as a gimmick to make a credit. Details of his questioning are sketchy, but he semed to pose no immediate threat to the public, and was released without incident.
However it is cautioned that if the "Admiral" is to be seen, he should not be approached, and the CBI would like the public to notify them on his whereabouts.

In an historical meeting yesterday, CBI Agent Diana Skelly met with the wanted fugutive Jaxx in a gesture to find some sort of peace between the CBI anf PFA. In her magnanimous manner, Agent Skelly offered to reduce sentence to a minimal period on condition Jaxx aid with the threat of the Legion of Terror. Instead of making a counter-bargain, the head of the outlaw organization instead made unilateral demands that the CBI quit hunting PFA members, as well as demanding that officer Jourgen Gallyn be offered as a hostage. As was expected, despite lowering their arms and offering no harm, the CBI's offer was laughed at. Jaxx continues to be at large.
Legion of Terror -------------------- In other news, the Legion of Terror attempted to hold Trasa hostage. Xod's lieutenant, the alien known only as Arilou, arranged for an assault on the Administration building. Summarily, she was pursued by Agent Jenny, a Koran heiress named Mira, and an unknown third of diminuitive stature. However, it seems as if the threat was a hoax, and thanks to CBI efforts, no one in Trasa was hurt.

CBI Agent Suspended
It was revealed today by sources inside the Charta Bureau of Investigation that it was an agent who was responsible for the bombing of a reporter's house last month.
You may recall that Ricky "Scoop" Dorsten's house was obliterated when a large amount of C-24 high explosive was detonated. Today, Jourgen Gallyn, Chief of Station, Fertilund and Head Training Instructor was placed on temporary suspension without pay pending the completion of a board of inquiry.
The CBI has absolved the PFA and it's members from the bombing of the house which killed Scoop's goldfish, Snark.

Letter To The Editor:
Dear, Sir, I work for the Charta Bureau of Investigation and there are a few things I'd like to point out.
First off, we are not the enemy. A few loose cannons in the department give the rest of us a bad name.
Second, some of those loose cannons "hide behind their badges." That's a phrase I hear almost constantly. When we find an agent that is misbehaving, he or she is put on suspension until a board of inquiry can decide what to do.
Third, and this irks me most of all, the people who accuse the CBI of hiding behind their badges are the same people who refuse to press charges or answer questions pertaining to the investigation. I recently had cause to investigate an agent for misconduct, but the accuser refused to press charges. At that point, the case was closed and the charges were dropped.
I am out for one thing and one thing only. Justice. But, I can't do my job without help from the citizens. That's why we put wanted posters in the libraries and other public places. We simply cannot be in all places at all times. We can't do our jobs effectively if no one will talk to us. I hear people talk about the ineffectivenes of the CBI, but no one wants to lend a hand, except for the PFA. Even THEY can't be everywhere at once.
Thanks for publishing this.
Diana Skelly, Chief Of Station, Trasa Charta Bureau of Investigation.
